The Young People’s Mental Health Support Team - Thrive in Education

Delivered by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with local charities Early Break, Your Trust, Place2Be and Youth in Mind, this provision helps young people, aged 4 until their 18th birthday, experiencing low level emotional and behavioural difficulties, such as worry and low mood.

Community Eating Disorder Service

Supports young people from 8 to 18 years. The service offers drop in, group assessments and treatments and provides both routine and specialist support, including family based approaches. The hub provides somewhere that young people can come to for the day.

Qwell is a mental health and wellbeing platform that offers online and anonymous counselling support, commissioned by the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership. The counselling service is purely text based and is available 365 days a year, with a chat queue open from 12pm until 10pm on Weekdays and 6pm until 10pm on Weekends

Rochdale Ancient Parish Educational Trust

You must live in the Ancient Parish of Rochdale. This area includes Rochdale, Wardle, Littleborough, Milnrow, Whitworth, Todmorden, Saddleworth, Newhey and Bacup; You attend a school in the area of the Ancient Parish of Rochdale; or You've attended a school in the area of the Ancient Parish of Rochdale. The Trust may award a grant for any purpose that promotes your education, including social and physical training.

Real Change

One central pot for everyone in Rochdale Borough. Local charities and organisations then work directly with individuals who are homeless, and apply for funds to pay for items they need. Money is transferred to the partner organisations to get where it is needed as quickly as possible, but is never given out as cash.

The Vicars Relief Fund

The VRF helps those who are homeless or vulnerably housed through small-sum, rapid response grants to prevent eviction or access accommodation. Frontline workers can apply on behalf of their clients for grants to help prevent eviction (of up to £350) or access accommodation (of up to £500). 


Family Action Grants

Our welfare grants programme primarily provides grants for essential personal and household needs to assist families and individuals with low incomes, particularly those living on benefits. In addition, funding is available for disability aids that will benefit the applicant in the home.


British Gas Energy Trust

Both British Gas customers and non-customers can apply for grants to clear domestic gas and electricity debts owed to British Gas or suppliers other than British Gas. 


EDF Energy Fund
