Are you helping Manchester residents deal with the impact of the cost of living crisis?

Do you assist people with trying to manage housing, energy, household bills or food costs?

MACC are looking for as many VCSE organisations as possible to share their stories during the first of two 2022 Spirit of Manchester Story Weeks.

The theme is the cost of living crisis and they will be publishing stories during the week of 23-27 May. It is simple to get involved:

  • Let them know you want to be involved and send them an article, ideally with a couple of images or
  • Let them know you want to be involved and what your story is and they will work with you to make it a reality (they can schedule an interview and then write it up into a story)

They will publish your story between 23-27 May (they will let you know when) on their website and share their social media.

Spirit of Manchester Story Week is a great way of celebrating the extraordinary everyday work of the Manchester voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Now in its seventh year, the Story Weeks have captured many stories that have included a community café, a befriending scheme, working with children, and distributing food to people and communities across the city. These are shared widely on social media including by supporters such as Manchester City Council and Manchester Health & Care Commissioning.
