Volunteer youth group worker

We are looking for a Volunteer youth worker to work in our weekly youth group we hold for our service users on a Wednesday 4.00-5.30. To help support our youth development workers in holding the sessions, supporting the young people and getting involved in the activities.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

In the youth group, you will be supporting other youth mentors, engaging with the young people and the activities planned in each session.
Allowing you to gain experience with working with children, and providing emotional support.

Training:

We have a two day mentoring training session that the youth group support worker would be able to attend and ongoing support from collegues.

Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
Skill and Qualifications Required:

You would need to be empathetic with great listening skills, reliable and supportive.
DBS is preferred but not essential.
