Circle and Dr. Kershaw's Hospice are partnering in a pilot scheme to support patients accessing their Well-Being Centre. We are looking to recruit Volunteer Drivers based in and around Oldham, in particular Drivers based in Crompton, Royton, Shaw & Heyside.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do: Volunteer drivers will use their own vehicles to provide a door-to-door, flexible, transport service with passengers picked up from their own home and taken to the Hospice, with return journeys also provided.
Based around our award winning Volunteer Drivers and Home from Hospital services, this new pilot funded by Dr. Kershaw's will taking people to the Dr. Kershaw's Well-Being Centre to take part in a series of social events and support activities.
Training: For each journey, a contribution is calculated at 45p per mile – to reimburse the driver for the cost of petrol and to support the costs of insuring and maintaining their vehicles.
All drivers will be DBS checked with vehicle checks taking place on information including MOT, insurance and driving licence. Each driver will be issued with a branded hi-vis vest and identifying badge and branded lanyard.
