On Sunday 15 May our Action Together team joined the Fun Day at Alexandra Park to promote Action Together and support the Mayor of Oldham's charity appeal.
Staff and Volunteer Ambassadors enjoyed their day promoting Action Together and the benefits of volunteering.
Our team got involved in completing the 5k run in aid of the appeal and did absolutely amazing, winning a medal! Volunteer Elivis said, “I’m proud of myself and I’ve really enjoyed my day. I’m looking forwarding to volunteering at more events in my community."
The Fun Day was an amazing, busy day for everyone involved, with lots of families enjoying their time. Our team spoke to lots of people who are keen to give their time in their local community and Action Together will be a start in their volunteering journey.
Uzma from the team said, “the day proved no matter what your age, what tasks you take part in, every little helps as long as you have colleagues by your side. It was an honour to walk with our amazing volunteers and complete the 5k run.”
