One GM Community Fund

Aims/priorities: Funding is available for community groups in Greater Manchester that focus on food poverty, homelessness, mental health and wellbeing.

The One GM Community Fund is a partnership between the Greater Manchester’s Mayor’s Charity and Forever Manchester, distributing money generously raised by the Greater Manchester community to support those most affected by the Covid crisis across the area.

The One GM Community Fund welcomes applications from grassroots community groups based in any of the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. The Fund will support projects working in one of the following thematic areas:

  • Families and individuals experiencing food poverty
  • Support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • Community based mental health and well-being support

All activity must be covid-19 safe and undertaken in line with current government guidance at the time it takes place.

Who can apply? The One GM Community Fund aims to encourage and support grassroots community organisations. This means small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage people to get involved as volunteers and who just need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they’d like.

Applicants must be based in one of the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and have an annual income of less than £25,000.

Grant amount: Up to £1,000.

Application process: Applications can be made on the Forever Manchester website.
