NW Hearts Charity Grants 2023-2024

Aims/priorities: We want to improve outcomes for people with heart disease around Greater Manchester, and to reduce its impact on lives beyond current NHS provision. To this end, we intend to fund a wide range of projects.

All applications should demonstrate a close alignment with one or more of NW Hearts Charity’s funding priorities, namely projects that benefit:

  • people with heart disease
  • the family and carers of this group
  • the specialist staff who care for them
  • heart disease diagnosis
  • research into cardiac conditions

The application must demonstrate a strong connection to Greater Manchester (GM). The application should have an impact on one of the following:

  • people or communities who live in GM
  • those who live outside of GM who may utilise healthcare services in GM
  • organisations located in GM and their staff / volunteers

Who can apply? If you are uncertain whether your proposed application will qualify for our funding criteria, we would be happy to arrange a brief discussion to clarify the situation for you prior to your submission. Please contact office@nwhearts.org

Grant amount: We will consider awarding individual grants up to a maximum of cost of £25,000. It is likely that the following projects will be given greater priority:

  • projects that cost up to £10,000
  • projects that are likely to demonstrate rapid short-term benefit (within 12 months).

Application process: We have a 2-stage application process. Stage 1 is a brief expression of interest form and applications that meet our funding criteria will be invited to apply for the Stage 2 process.

All stage 2 applications will be assessed by an Independent Grants Panel.

Our funding criteria and what we will / won’t fund can be downloaded by clicking here.

Deadline: Deadline for Stage 1 applications Monday 5th February 2024, 09:00 am.
