The Tameside Green Summit is a ‘call to action’ for organisations and individuals from across of a range of partners in Tameside – businesses, public services, and voluntary and community groups.  The event will include presentations from leading experts, debate on key topics, and ultimately action around green issues that affect Tameside as well as nationally and internationally.

Speakers on the day include Professor Kevin Anderson from the Tyndall Centre at the University of Manchester and Councillor Ganotis, Greater Manchester’s lead for environmental issues and climate change who will be speaking in particular about the outcomes from the Greater Manchester Green Summit in March this year. Other additional speakers will provide insights into sustainable travel, environmental business practices and employee engagement.

At the conclusion of the Summit delegates will be asked to make environmental pledges for themselves and their organisations, which will have a positive impact on the environment and climate change.

The first Tameside Green Summit will be a fantastic opportunity to gain an understanding of Greater Manchester’s environmental ambitions, the links with our work in Tameside and how you can be part of those ambitious plans and actions.

Tameside Green Summit takes place on Tuesday 6 November 2018 from 10am until 3pm at Dukinfield Town Hall.
