Manchester Pride - Grants Programme

Aims/priorities:

Grants are available for charities, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations across Greater Manchester to deliver projects and activities that benefit and support the welfare of local LGBQT+ people.

Manchester Pride is one of the leading LGBTQ+ charities in the UK that works to fight against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia, as well as improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Greater Manchester and beyond.

This Grants Programme aims to support initiatives that improve the lives of LGBQT+ people, including the delivery of Queer arts and cultural events, across Greater Manchester.    

In 2024, priority will be given to projects that address the following issues:

  • HIV Stigma.
  • LGBTQ+ Events.
  • LGBTQ+ Mental Health.
  • LGBTQ+ Sexual Health.
  • LGBTQ+ Wellbeing.

The following communities will also be prioritised:

  • Disabled LGBTQ+ people.
  • Queer, Trans, and Intersex People of Colour (QTIPoC).
  • Wider Trans communities.

Who can apply:

LGBTQ+ community groups, voluntary organisations, and registered charities can apply.

In 2024, priority will be given to the following:

  • Grassroot community groups and networks
  • Local LGBTQ+ charities
  • Local HIV charities
  • Small, independent LGBTQ+ organisations

Grant amount: Funding is available across the following strands:

  • Superbia Queer Arts Fund – Grants of between £250 and £1,000 are available to support the staging of Queer arts or cultural events.
  • Community Fund – Grants of between £250 and £1,000 are available to support grassroots community groups delivering activities that improve the quality of life of LGBQT+ people.
  • Local Pride Fund - Grants of between £250 an £1,000 to provide support for particular projects within a group's Pride programming.

Application process:

  • Applications for the Superbia Queer Arts Fund and the Community Fund are open all year round. 
  • Applications are assessed by the grants panel on a rolling basis, so it is advised to apply early.

Successful applicants will receive their awarded funds within four weeks of the end of the funding round, or where possible, earlier.

Groups must first register their interest through the Manchester Pride website to receive a full application.
