GM VCSE Work and Wellbeing Survey - Have your say and shape future workforce support for the sector

Last year the State of the Sector research revealed that there are around 75,000 paid staff and 500,000 volunteers working in charities, community groups, faith-based organisations and social enterprises across Greater Manchester. This is a massive workforce of people who are dedicated to doing good in their communities.

Over the next 18 months, the sector’s local infrastructure organisations across Greater Manchester will be working together to improve our support on workforce issues – including matters such as HR support, leadership development, workplace wellbeing and recruitment. But before this can happen we need to hear from you what is important to you right now. Is it recruitment? Is it salaries?

GM VCSE Leadership Group and 10GM with the support of GM Health and Social Care Partnership, are working with Robertson Cooper to gather feedback from the sector via an online survey. The survey is for any VCSE organisation in Greater Manchester (charity, community group, voluntary organisation, social enterprise or faith-based organisation) to create a picture of what is currently happening in the workforce and what support you need. This is not just another survey, this is a genuinely unique opportunity to look at what challenges and opportunities there are to supporting the single most important thing in all our organisations: our people.

The survey will only take a short time to complete and your individual results will remain anonymous. Ideally, the survey should be completed by someone in senior management from your organisation such as your HR lead if you have one.

The survey will close at 17.00 on Monday 4th July.
