Home-Start Oldham, Stockport & Tameside is a family support charity providing a range of services to families with children under the age of five. Home-Start aims to support parents to give their children the best possible start in life. Our core work involves recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to visit families in their own homes to provide practical help and much needed emotional support. We also offer perinatal infant mental health support in partnership with Tameside & Glossop's Early Attachment Service and Health Visiting teams, support for Dads in the perinatal period through our Dad Matters work, infant feeding peer support, support for families with complex needs and a speech, language and communication development project aimed at children under the age of three. We provide a range of volunteer opportunities and a comprehensive programme of training and support for volunteers.
