Comic Relief & National Emergencies Trust: The Global Majority Fund

Aims/priorities: Comic Relief and National Emergencies Trust’s The Global Majority Fund, distributed by the Muslim Charity Forum, makes grants of up to £10,000 to registered charities or CICs with an annual income under £500,000. Applicants must be organisations that are led by individuals from and/or focused on communities experiencing racial inequality and the emergency needs within these communities within the UK.

To be eligible, organisations must also be working under one or more of the following themes:

  • Health including mental health
  • Vulnerable people
  • Food poverty
  • Domestic abuse
  • Education
  • Poverty
  • Supporting refugee and asylum-seeker communities

Organisations who can demonstrate that they meet the following priorities will be prioritised:

  • equality and diversity;
  • strong connections within their local networks; and
  • able to demonstrate a commitment to innovation and sustainable solutions for positive change.

Grants can be used for either core or project costs.

Who can apply? Registered charities or CICs with an annual income under £500,000.

Grant amount: Up to £10,000. Awards are expected to be made in early June 2021 and the funding is expected to be used over the duration of 6 – 9 months.
