Are you looking to give something back to your community this winter? Does your community or voluntary group need a little extra help? Action Together is organising and working in partnership with local organisations to support our communities across Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.

Oldham

  • Oldham Toy Appeal - Help us spread a little joy. Let’s fill Santa’s sleigh before Christmas Day! Find out more.
  • Oldham Foodbank - Helping local people in crisis. Will you take part in the reverse advent calendar or can you donate money to invest in the future of the project? Visit the Oldham Foodbank webpage.

Rochdale

  • Rochdale Community Warehouse - Helping local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations support local people in crisis. Will you take part in the reverse advent calendar or tick some items off our shopping list? Visit the Community Warehouse Rochdale webpage.
  • Rochdale Toy Appeal - During the Christmas toy appeal, you can donate gifts so local children who are less fortunate have presents to open on Christmas Day. The appeal is organised by the charity 'Giving Back' which is run by council staff. You can donate gifts until Friday, 10 December 2021. Visit Rochdale Council's webpage.

Tameside

  • Tameside Toy Appeal - Christmas will be a very difficult time this year for many families in Tameside, particularly those living in poverty. In response to these unprecedented times the Tameside Toy Appeal 2021 is needed now more than ever. Find out more.

Giving Tuesday

A global day of giving. A day where everyone, everywhere can do something to support the good causes and communities that mean so much to them. It is a day to celebrate and encourage giving in all its forms. Join in on Tuesday 30 November 2021.

Voluntary, community, faith and social enterprises in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside can ask local residents, businesses, schools and communities to volunteer their time; donate money; share their skills; campaign for something; donate goods, food, or clothes; arrange a community event such as a street or park clean-up or a coffee morning, organise a fundraising event, or inspire and encourage your network to do something to support your good cause. The list really is endless.
