Europia is a community development organisation established in 2008. Our friendly multi-lingual team are committed to supporting and empowering Eastern European nationals in Greater Manchester. We also work with regional and national partners and in doing this, we have national recognition. Through our practical community and well-being projects, advice and legal sessions, we aim to support people across the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester to feel at home; connect them with their local communities; and give them the knowledge and skills they need to make their hopes and dreams a reality.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

We are looking for translators and interpreters volunteers speaking Romanian.

It could be help with translation /interpretering, meeting members of community, helping with conducting events and trainings.

We are very flexible with hours and locations (including remote options).

Organisation Profile: To provide information and practical support to European migrants at risk of abuse, exploitation and discrimination in Greater Manchester in order to identify and address the root causes of poverty, injustice and social exclusion. Our objectives: 1. To relieve the financial hardship and mental distress of European migrants and their dependents through the provision of advice and advocacy services, interpreting and translating and counselling and psychological support. 2. To promote the learning and education of European migrants and their dependents through the continual development of their individual capabilities, competencies, skills and understanding in the English language and vocational and social skills including employability. 3. To promote social inclusion for the public benefit and avoid poverty by working with European migrants and their dependents who are socially excluded due to their ethnic origin or nationality and to assist them to integrate into British society. 4.
