Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

We do this by adding fresh food, basic dry foods, and toiletries to a community pantry located in Thompson Cross on a daily basis.

We collect a significant amount of these items from local companies and other groups.

We are looking for people who can spare a few hours a week, or a couple of hours occasionally, to join our volunteer team to collect donations and add them to the pantry. Collections will predominantly be around Tameside, with a few from further distances across Greater Manchester.

You will be required to use your own vehicle and can claim expenses for the journeys you undertake.

Volunteers can participate in basic health and safety training, food hygiene and L1 safeguarding courses whilst undertaking this and other roles as a volunteer within The Power of Resilience CIC.
