Secretary of Trustees of Tameside South and Longdendale Foodbank (TS&LF)

As a trustee to work with the other trustees to provide management and direction of foodbank. As Secretary to the trustees e-mail agendas, papers etc for the meeting, take minutes. Help to ensure trustees meet best practice governance

Lived experience of poverty would be an asset.

Training:

We are part of the Trussell Trust who offer a Trustee Helpline and support materials
they provide guidance and updates on statutory requirements best pracce from the
Charity Commission.
It is esmated that the role will take 5 hours a month, but you will be able to schedule that
me as convenient.

Requirements: Relevant qualification or training, Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
Skill and Qualifications Required:

Compassion and alignment with our core values of welcome and dignity.
Experience of administrative procedures.
IT competent - we use Microsoft 365 for all foodbank documentation and meetings are usually conducted on Zoom
Lived experience of poverty would be an advantage
