Café Pop are a Community Interest Company based in central Hyde. We provide a friendly welcoming space where people can meet, socialise and be creative! We also have small shop area where we sell new products – we sell a mixture of items from cool and retro clothing to local art products that fit in with the theme of our space.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

What days / times are volunteers needed? Minimum of 2 hours per week between the hours of 10:00 – 16:30 Monday – Saturday.

Tasks the volunteers will do.
- Welcoming & serving customers
- Clearing pots/plates and keeping the café area clean and tidy
- Washing Up and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
- Preparation of simple food and drinks (tea/coffee/serving cake/preparing sandwiches)
- Using the till and card machine to take payments

What skills, experience, knowledge to the volunteers need?
- Good customer service skills - providing a warm welcome to our customers
- Clean and tidy appearance
- Self motivated and can use initiative
- Experience welcomed but not essential
- Good team player

Training:

- Food Hygiene and Allergies training
- Barista training (over 18’s)

Areas of Interest: Community, Community centre, Customer Services, Hunger, Public events

What activities will the volunteer do? Catering, Customer Services, Lending a helping hand
