Heritage Boatyard Assistant/Organiser
The Heritage Boatyard has become rather dysfunctional since the launch of "Hazel". This role is to collaborate with other volunteers in sorting out the chaos, clearing and selling (mostly online) things that are not needed and organising timber, paint, tools, stores etc to be readily available for future use. NB, this is about sorting out, not just tidying up. It does not involve the use of skips or bonfires!

Sorting,assessing, organising, constructing storage areas, online sales.
Training:
Will work alongside existing volunteer who will give relevant guidance.
Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location

Rather than simply restore and preserve them, The WCBS is finding new uses for these wonderful old boats, putting them to work on behalf of the local community and at the same time providing opportunities for people to learn new skills, meet people, make friends, do something useful and rewarding………………. Working with wooden boats can change peoples lives.
We restore historic wooden boats and put them back into use for the community, offering fully crewed cruises for people suffering from poor mental health and other difficulties.
