As a call companion, you will make regular telephone calls to an older person experiencing loneliness and isolation. These calls provide a lifeline of friendship for our older people, and the regular, warm, friendly chats and companionship provide a vital link with the outside world from which they have become isolated.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do: Calling the older person you have been matched with two to four times per month at an agreed time.
Phone the older person using our secure phone system.
Following the guidance in your call companion training modules to ensure that your calls are enjoyable, appropriate and in line with our charitable aims.
Letting Re-engage know if you have any concerns.
Training: As one of our valued call companions, you’ll receive training, support and regular communications from the Re-engage team.
This is a fun and rewarding role which will enable you to connect with a lonely older person and make a real and lasting difference to their life.
Skill and Qualifications Required: We welcome applications from friendly, positive volunteers who would like to communicate with an older person.
