Events Assistant - West African Development (WAD)

Your role will be to support a variety of different heritage events from planning and preparation to setting up and running activities on the day. There is no minimum time requirement, however volunteer will be asked to be available for assigned days by the Project Manager on the run up the events to support planning and delivery and to be available during project activities and events which will be provided for in advance

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

Helping to prepare for the event – this might involve preparing
Craft activities, information and signage, setting up displays and activities, moving tables and chairs, putting up Gazebos. Providing a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors as the public face WAD and answering any questions and encouraging people to get involved in the events/activities. Getting visitors to feed back on the event by filling in comment cards or questionnaires. There may be other activities where we could use your help i.e. raffle ticket sales, photocopying resources.
