Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:
Commit to regular attendance on a Monday between 12.45 pm and 3.15 pm;
Assist as required in making hot refreshments and serving to attendees tables along with biscuits, cakes, light refreshments etc;
Assist in booking in names and handing out name badges;
Mingle, chat and dance - generally socialise with carers and cared for during event;
Enjoy yourself and have a good time.
Training:
Training would be by shadowing existing volunteers.
Skill and Qualifications Required:
Commitment, loyalty and caring disposition.

About the host organisation

Organisation Profile: A local group run by Carers and Volunteers. It is for Carers, Persons living with Dementia and family members whose lives are affected by a diagnosis of Dementia within their family.
The group offers contact, support and a framework to regularly meet up with other Carers and Persons living with Dementia in a safe and social environment, along with planning and subsidising events and outings for Carers, Persons living with Dementia and family members from the Tameside and surrounding areas.
Weekly social meetings are held each Monday between 1pm and 3pm in Denton with light refreshments, activities and/or entertainment.
Monthly outings and/or activities arranged which include Ten Pin Bowling, Afternoon Teas, Meals, Coach Trips and Matinee Shows etc.
