Stock Control Manager

This role is to be completed on a fortnightly basis. When stock of any kind is placed in the shop a date is placed on the pricing label. Every two weeks all the dates on stock in the shop are to be checked. If the stock has not been sold four weeks after being placed in the shop it is checked for quality and then reduced in price. If after another two weeks it has not been sold it is reduced to £1.00, if after another two weeks the item is reduced from the shop floor and placed in cash for rags bag. Items not sold in the shop should not be returned to stockroom stock.

Duties
All items within the shop are to be checked on a fortnightly basis
Clothing
If items are found to be four weeks old, they are to be:
 Checked for quality
 The price tag should have the bottom half torn off.
 A price label with the current date and showing half the original price should be attached to the back of the half-
existing label.
If items are found to have the label torn off and already reduced, they are to be;
 Checked for quality
 A price label with the current date and showing a £1.00 price should be attached to the back of the half-existing label.
If items are found to have the label torn off and a £1.00 label they should be removed from the shop floor.
Books
Books that been on the shelves for a month should be reduced in price and put on the sales tables.
Books that have been on the sales tables for more than a month should be recycled using the blue bins.
Please make sure when disposing of books, paperbacks go into the blue re-cycling bins. Hard backed books must have the hardback cover removed first. The pages then can go unto the blue bin but the hardback covers must go in the general rubbish bin.
General/Other Goods
The prices on all general goods on display should be checked and any that have been on display for longer
than a month should be re-priced at half their original price, but no lower than 20p.
Items that have been on display for 20p for a month should be put in the rummage box. After 2 weeks display in
rummage box any items not sold should be disposed off
