Pick and Pack items from the emergency packs lists from an stock section in the distribution hub to prepare emergency supplies packs.
We now have two units for all donations at Oldham Foodbank.
The vision we have for our second unit is that all donations, fresh and non perishable, will be processed there. Long dated items will remain in this unit until needed by the first unit ' our shop'. Some key roles in this will be;
• ensuring all donated goods are weighed in
• identifying which donations will be needed immediately in the 'shop' e.g. fresh products or items we do not have large stocks of; rice pudding, tinned fruit etc.
• categorising long dated stock, being aware of stock rotation and following through requests for replenishing the 'shop'.
• Speak to your team leader or your volunteer coordinator if there are any problems or issues.
• Regularly wash your hands for at least 20 seconds when you are able to do so
• Always keep 2 meters away from others around you
• Please always wear your Action Together Volunteer badge
• All worksheets must be returned to you volunteer coordinator at the end of your shift. DO NOT keep any personal information such as names, addresses or telephone numbers.
• This role has a strict age criteria only 18-69 years only.
