We are looking for volunteers, who would like to provide practical support to our project and will be able to commit for at least 12 months for a minimum 3-5 hours a week.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do: • Welcoming parents / carers and children to the stay and play session
• Actively encouraging parents / carers to participate in planned activities which will promote the development of speech, language and communication skills in their child.
• Assisting the Right Start team in the planning, preparation and delivery of stay and play
• Assisting the Right Start team to evaluate the session and record progress made each week
• Building positive relationships with families
Requirements: Relevant qualification or training
Skill and Qualifications Required: • A good understanding of the importance of speech and language in the development of children
• Good communication skills and the ability to make people feel welcome and at ease
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Non judgemental
• Actively promote Equality and Diversity
