Petrus Hub Breakfast Assistant Volunteer

Petrus Community are a homelessness charity providing support services to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Our aim is to end homelessness and create safe spaces where all people can flourish. An integral part of our day support services is to provide a welcoming breakfast service at Petrus Hub six days a week Monday – Saturday where we offer refreshments and a cooked breakfast between the hours of 9am and 10am. The aim of this role is to provide support to the team to ensure we provide a good quality breakfast service and a welcoming safe space for our service users.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

Preparing dining area prior to breakfast service
Preparation of food and refreshments
Washing up/ use of dishwasher/ keeping work areas clean (including clearing away after service)
Customer service: Support staff to serve over the counter food and refreshments whilst welcoming service users in for breakfast

Training:

No previous experience required
Treat you with dignity and respect.
Provide you with the necessary support to enable you to carry out your role.
Provide you with ongoing support through a variety of methods to suit you.
Ensure a safe working environment and provide you with health & safety guidance.
Where relevant provide you with appropriate personal protective equipment.
Show appreciation and thanks for your time and commitment.
