Aims/priorities: Funding is available for local groups that want to raise awareness of the issues of illegal money lending in their community. The funding has come from the proceeds of crime taken from convicted illegal money lenders.
Aims/priorities: This scheme provides funding for protective security measures to places of worship and associated faith community centres that are vulnerable to hate crime. Any crime that is motivated by hostility on the grounds of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender identity can be classed as a hate crime. For this scheme, they are focusing on religion.
Aims/priorities: Aware that the COVID-19 crisis is having an extreme and significant effect on the whole charitable sector, The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust has reviewed its criteria for its next round of grants. In order to spread the Trust’s available funding as far as possible, grants will be for £1,000 rather than the usual £5,000 for grant round 3, which is for projects to deal with people aged 60 and over. You can apply for a grant from the Trust if you have an operating income and expenditure of between £100,000 and £1m.

Aims/priorities: The Petplan Charitable Trust (PPCT) has collaborated with World Horse Welfare and the National Equine Welfare Council (NEWC) to create the Covid-19 Equine Rescues Emergency Fund which is administered by PPCT. Grants are intended to support smaller equine welfare organisations across the UK whose finances and operations have been significantly impacted by the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis. They are intended to help equine rescue organisations to cover activities which have been directly affected by the ongoing coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis.
Aims/Priorities: As part of Future Workforce Fund, The Prince’s Trust have designed a grants programme that will support pilot projects delivered by partner organisations. Grants are available to organisations from all sectors in Greater Manchester for innovative projects that work with specific cohorts of young people aged between 14 and 25 who are facing barriers to engagement with education, employment or training. Support for the region’s young people is key now more than ever.
Aims/priorities: The Resilience & Recovery Loan Fund (RRLF) is a new fund for social enterprises and charities who are experiencing disruption to their normal business model as a result of COVID-19. It has been established to make an existing government scheme (the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme) more easily accessible to charities and social enterprises. The RRLF is being run by Social Investment Business (SIB) with an initial £25m investment and support from Big Society Capital.
