10 years of Healthwatch

Last week was the 10th anniversary of the launch of Healthwatch nationally. The Healthwatch England website has an article highlighting the achievements across the country www.healthwatch.co.uk/blog/2023-03-31/celebrating-ten-years-people-speaking-make-care-better.

In Tameside, we are always talking to people, to find out what matters to them. We use the information we collect in an anonymous way when we talk to commissioners and providers of services. We highlight what is working (so good practice isn't lost in any service changes), and also where people tell us improvements can be made.

Thank you to everyone who has helped with our work over the last 10 years.

Health and care experiences report

On the 'Have your say' page of our website, we have a survey which asks about any health or care service you have used recently.

We have downloaded the data from April to December 2022, and written a report about the themes from the survey responses.

You can read the report on our website at www.healthwatchtameside.co.uk/report/2023-04-13/health-and-care-experiences-report-2023

It is interesting to note that when compared to reports of previous time periods, the same themes are mentioned most frequently - for both postive and negative experiences.
