Oldham’s Suicide Prevention Partnership invites you to join them at our event on World Suicide Prevention Day to raise awareness of the issue and understand how we all have a role to play in talking about and preventing suicides.

Every day we come in to contact with people who feel so low or without hope that they want to end their lives or self-harm to cope with these feelings.

Too many people lose their lives to suicide and self-harm, after all one life is far too many let alone the estimated more than 200 lives lost across Greater Manchester last year alone.

This event is open to anyone who works or volunteers in Oldham and who may support or come into contact with people experiencing suicidal ideation and self-harm.

The aim is to share practice, learn new techniques, and build up a network of support for you as a worker dealing with people in crisis as well as for people experiencing a crisis.

Invitation for front line staff and volunteers, Tuesday 10 September at Mahdlo Oldham, 11am till 1pm - Feel free to pop in anytime.

If you can let us know you are attending it would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to host a stall please contact Vicki.Gould@oldham.gov.uk
