How to set up a neighbourhood food cooperative - online workshop on Tuesday 31 May

When: 31 May, online from 10:30am - 1pm

It will be delivered by Cooperation Town, a vibrant network of community-led food co-operatives, organising on streets and estates across the country. They’re run under the principle of ’when we work together with neighbours and colleagues we can take control over our lives.’ These co-ops are small buying groups that offer their members free and low-cost groceries purchased in bulk.

The workshop will include:

  • What are food co-operatives, what is Cooperation Town, and how does it differ to other food co-ops?
  • How does Cooperation Town work in practice?
  • Getting started with your own food co-operative
  • Founding and running your co-operative
  • Maintaining momentum in your co-operative
  • The support that Cooperation Town provides to co-ops
