Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) combines volunteering and DIY by challenging young people aged 14-24 to learn trade skills by helping to fix local community buildings in need of improvement.
Volunteer It Yourself (VIY), a CIC are offering 2+ days of free trades skills experience opportunities to local young people in Tameside aged 14-24, particularly those who are not engaged in education or employment or at risk of becoming disengaged.
We work with young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming so, to get involved in something local and hands-on!
In Greater Manchester we have previously completed a number of projects, most recently being Middleton Amateur Boxing Club, and we have worked with some amazing local community partners such as Manchester Young Lives, LTE, Manchester Youth Zone, Depaul Greater Manchester and many more!
In Stalybridge starting 27 June we will be building a brand new decking area at Stalybridge Cricket Club ready for the avid cricket spectators to enjoy!

This is a FREE opportunity for young people. VIY can provide assistance with transport and lunch depending on the young person's circumstances.
