Practical Maintenance Volunteer (Tameside)

Caring for and improving the waterways is at the heart of the Trust’s work. Typical tasks can include vegetation clearance, litter picking, painting and fence repairs or replacement. This role is typically about having a great impact on what the waterways look like on a day-to-day basis. Working with either one of our volunteer leaders or one of the local team you will be based at the Grove Road Office Stalybridge although the team may instruct other meeting points dependent on the tasks that need to be undertaken. This role will support the local operations team in the delivery of maintenance jobs and vegetation management on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal canal.
