Organisation Profile: St Gabriel's Community Place of Welcome We are open every Monday from 9.30 till 12.30, offering a friendly place for people to come for a chat, tea/coffee, toast and cake. Our aim is to help to combat loneliness and isolation amongst the elderly and vulnerable members of our community. A lovely warm atmosphere prevails; we play Bingo and Beetle Drive; memory games and quizzes are used to stimulate the brain and we also offer chair yoga/aerobics and hand massages. We sometimes do craft activities, hold music sessions and singalongs and occasionally have visits from children from the local primary school. Everything is free of charge to our visitors.
