Hub Volunteer - Oldham

Meet and greet people arriving at the centre
• Give advice and guidance about volunteering
• Explain how people can volunteer in their community and provide them with the information
• Explain how the volunteer centre/ hubs Oldham brokerage works
• Show where to find volunteer opportunities and how to apply
• Give support to complete registration forms and explain their next steps
• Guide people to volunteer roles that match their interests
- Research local groups and activities in your local area
• Connect and refer people to local groups in their local area
• Make referrals to the appropriate staff member or service if volunteering is not suitable
• To maintain confidentiality at all times
• Attending meetings when necessary
• Good organisational skills
• Good Knowledge of Oldham (desirable); geography and transport
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and check in
• Ability to recognise and understand confidentiality, boundaries and limitations; of people from a range of diverse backgrounds
• Understanding of equal opportunities and experience (not essential); applying this to all aspects of work
• Computer skills
