Secretary for the Board of Trustees at Caring and Sharing Rochdale. Caring and Sharing is a BAME refugee charity in Rochdale. Our objective is to support and empower the BAME community, asylum seekers, and the deprived. We offer training and rendering services for community integration, empowering the youths and arts culture of the people in the community. The Board meet once every three months and we meet currently meet online.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

General Administration
1. Keep a copy of the constitution, meeting minutes and other important documents
2. Make sure necessary documents are completed, e.g. for the Charity Commission or Companies House
3. Keep records of the organisation’s membership
4. Notify members of the AGM
5. Monitor membership requests and keep an up to date list of members
6. Book the meeting room and arrange refreshments
7. Prepare the agenda with the Chairperson
8. Circulate the agenda and any other papers
9. Check that meetings are quorate
10. Make sure the Chairperson signs the minutes when they have been approved by the committee Take, write and circulate minutes
11. Monitor when committee members term of office ends

Food shopping and delivery for those that are shielding. We offer phone calling / chatting to those who are isolated in order to reduce the effects and pressure of mental health and depression. We also run a charity shop for people of all ages.
