Handy Person - Stalybridge Town Team

Greater Manchester's Town of Art & Culture for 2022 Stalybridge Town Team were formed ten years ago as a result of a TV series which campaigned to breathe new life into the nation's town centres We are a group of volunteers which include local business people, councillors, faith group representatives and local residents. Since its inception, the Stalybridge Town Team has supported numerous town centre projects and initiatives and continues to hold monthly litter-picking and gardening sessions

Organising monthly litterpicks in the town centre
Running a quarterly prize draw to raise funds
Refurbishing the public benches in Armentieres Square
Landscaping the embankment next to the canal adjacent to Tesco
Improving the look of the substation in Armentieres Square
Introducing a secure moorings facility on the Huddersfield canal
