Football Coach Volunteer

Currently there are 3 volunteer positions available – football coaches for Under 7s, 9-11s, and Youth. Time: Every Wednesday 3:00 to 5:30pm term time. (From July to Oct) If you have experience in coaching football, or even with other sports; or you have experience with children’s activities, and basic knowledge of football, then we want you! Football coaching certificate is a great asset but not essential. You will need to be reliable, punctual and be enthusiastic in your role. To be fun loving, and firm when it comes to boundaries to create a fun and safe environment for the children where they could enjoy and develop skills. Communication with children of this age group is also important. And you can commit to the times required in your role. The roles are subjected to a successful Enhanced DBS Check, paid for by us. You don’t have to be a Christian but you respect Christian values and practices

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

You will coach and train a group of players, typically 5-8 in a group. You will also be
responsible for the equipment (i.e. football, cones, bibs, etc). There will be 1 coach
per group

Training:

Support and appropriate Training. We cover your costs of travel to and back from our club.
A chance to join and help build a great team and grow something new.
You will make a lasting difference into the lives of fantastic children & young people
who will thrive on the encouragement and care they experience.
You will gain great voluntary experience with coaching, football, and children and
young people’s work, that you could build on for your future reference

Requirements: Willing to travel by public transport or find own way to volunteering location
Skill and Qualifications Required:

Experience desirable but not essential. But at least basic understanding of football or experience in children's work.
