Football Coach

Oldham Inspiring Youth grows our Fun Football provision and inspires children through Football, we're looking for inspiring, forward-thinking, and motivated individuals to join our team to support Oldham Inspiring Youth as we continue growing and supporting young people in our community. We believe in cohesive thinking and delivering. Working alongside our community to develop all young people's leadership, helping them reflect, articulate and transfer their skills and experience to other settings, such as employment. We also appreciate the support provided by a community member to aid our vision and mission, and we certainly believe your expertise and knowledge will go a long way.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

1. Support lead coach with our multi-sports weekend provision
2. Teach relevant skills, tactics and techniques
3. Developing training programmes.
4. Instruct teams on the rules & techniques of their respective athletic engagements.
5. Scheduling and spearheading sports practices.
6. Outlining all rules, core tactics, and accompanying expectations.
7. Enhancing capacity by issuing corrections and suitable reinforcement.
8. Bolstering teamwork and camaraderie.
9. Refereeing sports matches.
10. Encouraging safe sporting practices.
11. Modeling commendable sportsmanship.

Training:

We have developed programmes to aid in developing current and upcoming coaches; with support from our partners, we can create a fantastic pathway to accelerate development and provide support and guidance to learn essential skills and technique and will provide all coaches with opportunities to coach with support from senior members at Oldham Inspiring Youth to aid development.
