Trustee Role

Little Monkeys is recruiting passionate, experienced and skilled people to join our board. Applications are welcomed from individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Little Monkeys trustees are committed to our charity’s aims and values. Our trustees have the overall legal responsibility for Little monkeys. We welcome many different skills, experiences and areas of knowledge from our trustees. To ensure the health and growth of Little Monkeys, we are looking for trustees with digital transformation and/or digital inclusion skills and experience. Becoming a trustee is an exciting opportunity to benefit our local communities and really make a difference. It is a hugely rewarding, important and exciting role. Little Monkey trustees not only give their time, skills and experience to strengthen the organisation and they can learn new and useful skills too.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

• Ensure that Little Monkeys complies with its governing document, charity law and all relevant legislation or regulations
• Ensure that Little Monkeys pursues its objects as defined in its governing document
• Ensure Little Monkey's applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects
• Contribute actively to the board of trustees by giving firm strategic direction to Little Monkey's.
• Safeguard the good name and values of little Monkeys
• Ensure the financial stability of little Monkeys

Skill and Qualifications Required:

Digital Transformation – using digital technologies to create new, or change existing, processes.
• A commitment to the mission of Little Monkeys
• A willingness to meet the minimum time requirement
• Integrity
• Strategic vision
• Good, independent judgement
• An ability to think creatively
• A willingness to speak their mind
• An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship
• An ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to take decisions for the good of Little Monkeys
