The Bread and Butter Thing makes life more affordable for people on a low income, builds stronger communities and reduces food waste using an innovative and self-sustaining approach to the redistribution of surplus food and non-food items.
Its long-term aim is to address the premiums that people in poverty pay for everyday essentials simply because of their personal circumstances.

The Haughton Green Centre is looking for volunteers for the Bread and Butter Thing project on a Tuesday 10am-2pm.
Skill and Qualifications Required:
We are looking for reliable and committed volunteers. Our volunteers need to be friendly, non-judgemental and have a willingness to help their communities.
