To offer one-to-one telephone support to help those experiencing feelings of loneliness and social isolation.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:
• To take a brief from the Chatty Café Scheme on the individual
• To ring the individual to establish contact and agree the regularity, days and times of the calls.
• To maintain regular contact on the days and times agreed between the individual and volunteer.
• To take part of volunteer supervision sessions/check-ins with The Chatty Café Scheme staff and provide feedback on how the calls are going.
Skill and Qualifications Required:
• Friendly, empathetic approach and a good listener.
• Good communication skills.
• Is able to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Can work on their own.
