Pet Connect Coronavirus Response

Noah’s A.R.T. is an animal-assisted therapy and wellbeing service. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to suspend most of our face-to-face services. However, with many of our clients being older, isolated or vulnerable, we have tried to continue supporting them remotely in different ways. One method has been through sending them regular packs of letters, stories, artwork and animal photos by post, sent in by our volunteers and supporters. Each week, individual clients and care homes have received one of these packs in the post. We would now like to expand and continue this service, as an ongoing, socially distanced effort to help tackle increased loneliness and isolation as a result of COVID-19. Could you help us by creating cards, artwork, poems, photos, stories or letters, which we would send on to isolated, vulnerable or older individuals in the local community and care homes? We will continue to send out a weekly pack to each client over the coming months, and we would love to be able to include letters, cards, artwork etc. from local people.

About the host organisation

Hosted by: Noah's ART
Organisation Profile: Noah’s A.R.T. is a progressive, innovative and therapeutic service developed by an experienced mental health nurse – Sharon Hall. Our goal is to utilise the human-animal bond to increase wellbeing. We have over 4 years experience visiting care homes, learning disability groups & NHS mental health wards with our therapy animals. We work with dogs, cats, rats, mice and rescue rabbits and guinea pigs. As well as our visiting service we run from the Together Centre @ Loxley House every Tuesday & Thursday. Here we provide a safe space to relax, have a cuppa & some cake, be creative doing arts and crafts and take part in fun activities with our animals!
