Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

The volunteer will be required to pick the child and carer up (in own car), drive them to the appointment and then take them home after the appointment.

Requirements: Own vehicle required, Driving license
Skill and Qualifications Required:

Volunteers must have their own car and a driving license.
Experience of other voluntary work/helping children is desirable

Organisation Profile: Transport For Sick Children has a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time and use their own cars to take accompanied children to hospital and clinic appointments; the charity relies on a team of car owner-drivers to provide the service. The volunteer drivers are reimbursed their fuel costs but give freely of their spare time. Some drivers carry out trips daily and others give their time when they can. In the past 12 months, the charity has helped to get almost 1000 children get to 6000 appointments.
