Cafe Assistant

Volunteers must be good with people and numerate. They must be able to work as part of a team and provide a “listening ear” to the patients and their families. Must be presentable due to the nature of the work and not have false nails nor wear nail polish of any colour as it is now in an open plan area in the Orthopaedic Clinic. We must therefore abide by the Trust’s Bare Below the Elbow policy and also abide by catering standards.

The volunteers will be serving hot and cold snacks and also serving hot and cold drinks and confectionery to the public.

Organisation Profile: We raise funds to purchase items for the benefit of patients which are not covered in their budgets. This ranges from medical equipment to furniture. Bids are received once a year and considered by the Executive Committee towards the end of March.
