Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

Welcome the client, listen and chat. Make them feel valued and comfortable.
Signpost the client to other services that might help with any problems e.g. Citizens Advice

Skill and Qualifications Required:

Friendly, a listener, non-judgemental, value people.
Knowledge of benefits and welfare services useful - but we can offer training.
Able to keep confidences.
If you have found it difficult to make ends meet at some point in your life your experience will be useful but it is not essential.
If you can use a computer to do "google" search and print the results it will be useful but it is not essential.
