Domestic Incident Volunteer – RESEARCHER - ROCHDALE

STRIVE is a Greater Manchester initiative designed to reduce police call-outs and support families where they may be domestic disruption. STRIVE volunteers visit the homes of these families and support them, offering early intervention and signposting them to relevant services within the community that may be able to help. TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is Manchester’s own relationships charity and is the provider of this award-winning service in Trafford, Salford and Stockport. We are currently looking for micro volunteers to support our already-existing teams by conducting research on local community groups and services to go in the next edition of our sign-posting book and subsequent editions quarterly. Our sign-posting book is integral to our service and is used by STRIVE volunteers to connect the people they visit to local services, groups and organisations that may be able to help them. These can be things such as; counselling charities, religious groups, social networking groups, debt-support agencies and many more! Anything that we can direct people to, that will help them – goes in the sign-posting booklet!
