Enjoy spring while volunteering at our Community Gardening Sessions

Come and join our amazing volunteer team at The Hub, Alexandra Park. We can now see the signs of spring around The Hub. Bees buzzing, birds chirping and spring flowers giving a little colour. We are getting busy growing this years vegetables from seed, amongst other jobs. Come along and join the team, get involved and learn how we get everything growing after the winter lull. Sessions are weekly on Mondays 1.30 - 3.30pm & Wednesdays 10am - 12pm

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

During spring you will join our friendly team undertaking a range of tasks, both indoor and out, depending on the weather. We will be focussing on seed sowing, caring for the young seedlings and planting out. Help us grow our fabulous tasting tomatoes, chillies and cucumbers, help prepare for potato planting and looking after the peas and beans, as well, of course, help with harvesting.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

All are welcome and no experience is necessary. Joining us at The Hub as a volunteer is an opportunity to learn, find out more about how to grow your own food and take home fresh produce.
