Manchester International Festival Volunteer

We're recruiting a team of up to 500 volunteers to support with the running of Manchester International Festival (MIF) this summer! We have a variety of roles open to all volunteers, as well as more specialist roles which are ideal for people looking to develop specific skills. You'll receive a full induction from us plus additional training for any specialist roles, and you'll be in the company of a large team of passionate and supportive volunteers - including lots who have volunteered with MIF before! The majority of volunteering takes place during the festival (4-21 July) with some opportunities to get involved throughout June. We ask that volunteers commit to completing 6 shifts of up to 4 hours over this period. Our main volunteer roles include: Festival Fronteers, Ticketing, BETA Testers (testing our shows and commissions), Venue Preppers, and Event Support. You can find out about these roles in more detail, plus more about the specialist roles available by visiting our website and following the link to our volunteer application form. About the host organisation

Hosted by: Manchester International Festival
Organisation Profile: Manchester International Festival (MIF) is the world’s first festival of original, new work and special events. The Festival is staged every two years in Manchester, UK – the next edition will take place 4 – 21 July 2019 at venues all over the city. We bring together artists from different art forms and backgrounds to create dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking new work, which we stage in a rich tapestry of venues across Greater Manchester – from theatres, galleries and concert halls to railway depots, churches and car parks. We work closely with venues, festivals and other cultural organisations around the world, whose financial and creative input helps to make many of our projects possible and guarantees that they have a life after each Festival has ended.
