Family Mentor (Empower to Achieve)

To mentor families who will benefit from the Empower to Achieve (E2A) project. To fulfil the role of ‘case workers’ for each family in developing skills to raise achievement and aspirations.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

- To engage with families using a variety of methods.
- To undertake a basic family learning needs assessment and develop a Personal Development Plan.
- To monitor their progression through frequent contact.
- To refer and signpost families to other agencies/organisations in order to better support them.
- To accurately record information as required.
- To meet with project coordinators and other volunteers regularly and share good practice among colleagues.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

- Experience working with and have knowledge of South Asian communities.
