Volunteer Support Worker (Women Volunteers Only)

(Women Volunteers Only) To support women with complex needs including domestic abuse, substance and alcohol misuse, mental health, offending, housing and financial issues

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

To provide emotional support and encourage clients to access appropriate services when needed
To deliver and co-deliver a variety of groups for our service users. The groups aim to promote wellbeing, encourage positive thinking, and build self-esteem and confidence. We also run peer support groups.
To offer general admin support if needed
To attend regular supervision
To attend monthly volunteer meetings
To work within the agreed professional boundaries at all times

Skill and Qualifications Required:

Confident when working in a busy and challenging environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to use own initiative
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to manage their own wellbeing
Enjoys working as part of a team
Previous experience in a supporting role would be beneficial but training will be provided.
Ability to work in accordance with the Safeguarding and Data Protection Policy
