Event Organiser

Finding Rainbows are a local bereavement support group in Tameside. Primarily we support individuals and families who have suffered the loss of a child. We are looking for Volunteer Event Organisers to help create, organise and implement Finding Rainbow events throughout the year for the families and individuals who attend for support and for the wider community to come along too.

Tasks the volunteer will be required to do:

Volunteer would be required to create and plan events to be held, including three annual ones and promotion of our monthly coffee morning as part of a team and using their own initiative. This will include communicating with venues, stall holders and the communities.

Skill and Qualifications Required:

Previous experience within holding events and networking would be helpful or experience in being part of fundraising events.

Organisation Profile: We are a local bereavement support group in Tameside. Primarily we support individuals and families who have suffered the loss of a child. This includes children of all ages and early pregnancy loss and babies born asleep. We offer one to one and group support via a range of forums and activities and are able to help families in other areas of their life which they may be struggling with as a result of their loss such as debt, ill health and family life. We work closely with other community groups and agencies to ensure the best possible care is available for our families. We are passionate about health awareness and prevention and run community based training and events to promote safety, health and wellbeing.
